Funs van Diem studied the master Dutch Law (free profile) and the master Forensics, Criminologie and Jurisdiction at the University of Maastricht. In august of 2012 he graduated with honours.

During his studies, Funs participated for 2 years in volunteer work at the Child and Youth Legal Aid centre in Limburg. After he graduated, Funs worked in the sector Administrative Law from the Limburg court as a (senior) court secretary for 3,5 years.

In August 2016, Funs joined Paulussen advocaten in the capacity of lawyer.
