Concerning her work as a lawyer and divorce mediator, Marjolein Clijsen explains: ‘From the time I joined the legal profession, I’ve specialised in family law consultancy, concentrating in particular on divorce cases and divorce mediation. As one of my clients once wrote me, “Divorce is about finding balance, regaining balance, and I am thankful to you for having been our lodestar in that process.” Being an anchor for clients is what motivates me.’

Marjolein is a member of the vFAS association for family law lawyers-divorce mediators (also seewww.verderonline.nl) and the VvCP association of collaborative professionals. As a vFAS divorce mediator, she is also registered with the Mediation Federation of the Netherlands (MfN).

Marjolein graduated with a degree in Dutch law from Maastricht University in 1993.
Starting out in the legal department of an insurance company in The Hague, she has been working as a lawyer in Maastricht since June 1998, and at Paulussen Advocaten since October 2001.
