Building projects require effectively distributing risks and ensuring sufficient securities such as bank guarantees. Good collaboration can prevent disputes about defects, contract variations and delays later on.
Where necessary, the preliminary phase can be formalised via a collaboration agreement or a building team agreement. In some cases, a traditional contract (STABU, UAV 1989 – UAV 2012) will suffice, but we can also draw up integrated contracts (UAV-GC 2005, Design&Build, Design&Construct, EPC [Engineering Procurement Construction], turnkey, FIDIC silver book). We include provisions for the roles of architects and consultants (RVOI 2001, DNR 2005, DNR 2011) and for coordination between all building contractors.
We are also happy to advise you about insurance, management and maintenance. For specific queries about financing and budgetary guidance, we call in a financial specialist.
Wondering whether to put a contract out for tender? We can prepare and integrate the necessary documentation. In the event of conflict, we can furnish mediation or a binding third-party ruling, or bring your case before the Dutch Court of Arbitration for the Building Industry, the Netherlands Arbitration Institute or a civil court.
We can also arrange site views or an attachment, if needed, or advise you on suspension and retention.
